Another Great Peterbilt Book

This a Great book to add to a Peterbilt Collection, I was Hoping for More Cabover Coverage in the Cabovers section in the end, But There was no 362E mentioned(362 enhanced model) History is there, Just as in Rasmussens Book, There are a couple B/W pics from Ron Adams, and others that I have seen before, and a few I have not. Its basically a Book focusing on Custom Petes, Look at the Cover.I was disapointed the Famous Tnn Big Rig Custom old 362 was not there. And no 379 X pics sadly.only a mention. And not enough 389 shots, or legacy class edition 379(last 379) pics. But I tell you what, I still like the book despite its few shortcomings.I would recommend it to True Peterbilt Fans like myself.

Pretty good photos but major typos. Should have gone through Spell Check before publishing. Should have also been edited to eliminate redundancies found in several areas. Had the author wanted more photos or content, he could have contacted dealer sales people, Peterbilt factory folks, even more Pete owners! Needs a major revision. Yes, I used to sell Petes and Kenworths as well. And drove truck for 22 years before that.

Becoming a Wine Snob

What an amazing story written by the only media person to attend the competition. Now the truth is out! It is not only a book about the competition between the young California vineyards agains the old and established French, it is a history lesson in how CA wines came to be, key players and the struggles to learn what the French have been doing through generations. The author also writes about wines and vineyards around the world completing the global tastes of wine drinking that we are so fortunate to be part of. I went right away with the names of the wines and their respective wineries to taste them all. I now have been spending a fortune on wines! and each one is fabulous! I have been to some of the French wineries that were part of the competition, now I have to start on Napa! I did learn something important.... Stag's Leap and Stags' Leap are not the same winery! It is not just a typo........ buyer beware! GREAT read! I would highly recommend if you want to learn about this event and the history of CA wines and how they became a world player.

Also a good tale to those who think name and traditional will go unchallenged.

The book presents a good description of the wine making process and its technical evolution. It doesn't go too far into the chemistry or test methods -- for that, get a textbook. It stands as an account of how the California wine business developed and the personalities involved. The book is rather a scattershot in format. Lots of small stories, loosely woven.

Dr. Keramas has 22-years experience as a professor in Engineering Technology coupled with over 20-years or industrial practice as a project leader, director of research, inventor, consultant and entrepreneur. He has taught previously at the University of Massachusetts and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The author of many technical journalistic articles and two texts, he is also a review board member for the Journal of Industrial Technology. In addition, he has given numerous presentations worldwide on automated manufacturing, robotics and the utilization of high technology. Dr. Keramas holds 23 patents in the United States (U.S.) and Canada for inventions in the automated manufacturing field and is an expert product liability witness listed in the Harvard Lawyer's Trial book. He is a regular consultant for the Office of Technology Innovations of the U.S. Department of Commerce and the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and has provided consulting services to companies in the U.S. and abroad. Dr. Keramas is an advisory committee member for the Pan European Network, creating joint education and industry alliances for technology transfer and training, and a member of the Ed/Tech Group of MIT's Lincoln Laboratory, working on curriculum development for the High Tech Workforce of Tomorrow. Dr. Keramas received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Athens Polytechnic Institute in Athens, Greece, and his Doctorate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His research interest is in Automated Manufacturing, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, CAD/CAM, and Computer Integrated Manufacturing.
